The Cosby Sweater Theory

One post is of particular interest- A conspiracy theory about the abrupt demise of the "Cosby Sweater" :

"Bill stops wearing the sweaters on the show, but nothing, i mean nothing, can stop the steamroller that is The cosby sweater. So Hilfiger funded The simpsons, which killed The Cosby Show's ratings. Hilfiger tells Cosby "Don't wear those sweaters in public, or you'll end up like Thelma and Louise. Dead, on the bottom of a cliff." Bill stops wearing the sweaters in public and without the core support, the popularity of the cosby sweater slowly dies away."
